Here is what I’m looking for.

Additional wisdom i wish i’d known earlier

I read and enjoyed Kevin Kelly’s book, “Excellent Advice for Living: Wisdom I Wish I’d Known Earlier” last night. Words per dollar ratio is very high, but useful words per word ratio is also very high. I tried writing a few of my own. I’ll be adding to this list over time…

When trying to comfort someone, focus on their needs rather than your own desire to be seen as comforting.

Advice is deeply contextual. If you combined all the advice out there, it would cancel out to “don’t do anything”.

When someone tells you that they’re envious of you, believe them, and remember how envy is resolved.

If you don’t know why you’re doing something, you’ve allowed someone else to dictate your priorities. But sometimes, the answer can be that you’re doing it to make someone else happy, and that’s okay.
